Scott Jones, Human Performance Coach

Scott brings 34 years of leadership wisdom forged in high-stakes environments—from military command to commercial aviation cockpits to boardrooms. As a coach, Scott walks alongside executives and senior leaders as they navigate complex, pressure-filled decisions that define careers and organizations. He has a unique ability to help people see around corners, identifying the obstacles and opportunities others miss. His clients consistently discover what they need to do and who they need to become.

Scott's coaching is grounded in authentic vulnerability and principled leadership. He believes true strength emerges when leaders lead with competence and character, becoming a compass in chaos for those they serve. His faith-informed perspective brings depth to his work, though he meets every client exactly where they are on their journey.

Whether guiding a CEO through organizational transformation, helping a senior executive navigate career transitions, or supporting leaders through personal and professional crossroads, Scott's approach combines strategic thinking with genuine care for the whole person.

Scott is a retired Rear Admiral in the United States Navy Reserve and currently serves as a Captain for a major airline. His military career spans two decades of senior leadership roles, complemented by extensive leadership experience within his airline and the Airline Pilots Association.

He founded and led IMJ Coaching and Consulting, LLC., an endurance coaching business, for over a decade before transitioning to executive coaching. Scott holds an MBA from UC Berkeley Haas School of Business and a Master of Science in National Security Strategy from the National War College. He earned his B.B.A. from National University and completed his coaching certification at the Hudson Institute of Coaching in Santa Barbara, CA.

Scott is also a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Kenan-Flagler Strategic Thinking Executive Education program and a graduate of the Naval Postgraduate School's Leading Innovation Executive Education program.

Scott has coached leaders in military, corporate, non-profit, and entrepreneurial environments—from Fortune 500 C-suites to emerging leaders in privately held companies. Before becoming an executive coach, he coached triathletes and endurance athletes worldwide, developing a philosophy that peak performance requires both technical excellence and mental resilience.
